Strange Formspring Question #3:
I found a pill capsule on the ground while I was cleaning up behind the drinks counter at work. I went to sweep it into the dustpan but as I did so it opened and inside was a tiny folded piece of paper with a list of names on it. What is it? What should I do?
hm! well, that does sound very mysterious and unusual. i’m not sure where you work, but i guess there isn’t really a location where one would find an object like this and not think it’s a little out of place. personally, i think that it’s a spell. obviously it’s gotta be magic of some sort. it must have fallen out of someone’s pocket - perhaps they had intended to grab a drink and then swallow the capsule? that would be my first answer.
as for what you should do, i’d check the list of names to make sure mine wasn’t on it (although if you have a generic name, it probably wouldn’t do much good) and then to be honest i’d probably keep it for show-and-tell. it’s a good story. creepy, but also kind of awesome. alternatively, you could put up a lost-and-found notice, if you’re brave enough to find out who its owner is..
